Where I come from you could sit in one of my classes and in about 5 minutes you can tell the difference in between the people who will be going to college and the people who will be working a cash register. There is nothing wrong with that of course, but I would like to think that your in school trying to find out what your true potential is and most people's potential can surpass the local stores check out station.

I'm not saying I'm better than the other people nor am I saying all I do is study and act like a know it all. I just spend all day reminding myself why I'm in school. I'm preparing for my future. Sure I have fun and goof off with friends after school and on the weekend, and in school as well, but when the teacher has his or her mouth open telling me something important you will not see me goofing off in the classroom. Call me A snob if you wish, but I know my potential lies beyond that check out line at the local store and I fully intend to live up to my full potential.

I am by no means the smartest kid in my class. I'm what you might call an "Underachiever" or as my science teacher likes to call it "Lazy". He says I could be an honor student and I only do what i have to. I think of myself as the smartest dumb kid around. I'm just like those kids goofing off in the corner that the teacher has to get on to every five minutes, except that I care and they don't. It annoys me to see that. I love a good laugh and goofing off with the guys, but there is A time for play and A time for work and you should know the difference between the two. If you don't you will lose focus and end up not caring about your future.

I don't intend to lose focus.
